Tress Talk : Part 1 - Hair Spas

2011 was a good year for my tresses. While my mane is super silky and straight, it's thin and lacked volume. Also regular color treatment could have had a role to play. My main aim last year was to infuse some volume into my hair along with thickening the strands. Advice that my hair stylist gave was that I needed to do 3 things:
  1. Regular hair spas - Alternate between two treatments
  2. Use products that would reduce drying of the hair and reduce usage of heat styling which in turn would reduce thinning
  3. Dandruff prevention - Once a week special shampoo
Why I say it was a good year is because I achieved what I had set out to do :) There is a lot more volume to my hair and the strands are a lot more thicker despite the hair coloring. This series of blog posts is basically going to spell out the products that did wonders for my hair which I would strongly suggest to all of you.

This post is about the 1st pointer - Regular hair spas. The 2 treatments that I alternate between are:

1. L'oreal Hair Spa
The L’Oreal Hair Spa is an intensive treatment that keeps hair smooth, silky and deeply moisturized. It smoothens out frizz and has an awesome fragrance that will last for days. Here depending on the condition of the scalp, they will use the anti-dandruff or the hydrating concentrate.

2. Renew C and Power Dose
Renew C
Step 1: Renew C is a alpha hydroxy acid-based pre-shampoo repairing treatment for damaged hair. It targets the cortex and cuticle to strengthen keratin links and reduce porosity. The formula penetrates to the very heart of the hair fibre and provides a firming and strengthening action.

Power Dose Color
Step 2: Power Dose Color contains a complex of Bio-Mimetic ceramide, Vitamin PP and protein. It repairs color treated hair. It deeply conditions and increases density thereby adding volume to fine hair and prolongs the color of the hair. It is similar to a deep conditioning treatment which one gets done at the salon.

Both these treatments that I alternate between get 9/10 from me! :D

Keep reading the series to know about the rest of the products which helped me.
